Rental Terms
- 01You can request a car by contacting us via the contact form or WhatsApp with your dates, pickup location, and preferred vehicle. We will confirm availability, send you a personalised offer, and guide you through the final booking and delivery details.Still have questions? Contact us and we’ll help you choose the right rental option.
- 02To secure your reservation, a 30% deposit of the total rental amount is required at the time of booking and is paid directly to our rental partner. Once this deposit is received, your booking is fully confirmed and your vehicle is reserved exclusively for your dates. You will then receive your personalised reservation voucher via WhatsApp and email, detailing your booking, payment information, and pickup instructions. Please present this voucher at the pickup location on the day of collection. The remaining 70% of the rental amount is settled directly with the partner when you pick up the vehicle, together with the security deposit. The security deposit is usually held on a valid credit card in the main driver’s name and is released in accordance with the partner’s terms. Our partners typically accept the following payment methods for deposit and balance: Major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, and others, depending on the partner) In some cases, debit cards or bank transfer In select situations, cash may be accepted for the final payment; however, a valid card is still generally required for the security deposit As payment conditions can vary depending on the specific vehicle and partner, we recommend carefully reviewing the payment and deposit details provided with your quotation and voucher before confirming your booking.
- 03Yes, a security deposit is required for every rental. The exact deposit amount is shown on each car page and may vary depending on the vehicle, driver age, and driving experience.Drivers aged 18–24 or with less than 2 years of driving experience may be asked to pay a higher deposit, up to 2× the standard amount shown on the car page. For drivers over 25 with at least 2 years of driving experience, the normal deposit shown on the car page applies. The deposit is held as security during the rental and is returned according to the rental terms once the vehicle is returned in the agreed condition.
- 04The minimum age to rent is 18 years. You must have held a valid driving licence for at least 2 years to pay the standard security deposit shown on each car page. If you are 18–20 years old or have less than 2 years of driving experience, you can still rent, but a higher security deposit (up to 2× the normal amount) will be required. To rent supercars, the minimum age is 25 years.
- 05To book a car with ApexDrive, you will usually need: A valid driving licence (front and back, if applicable). A passport or national ID matching the name on the licence. A payment card in the main driver’s name for the security deposit (credit or debit card, depending on the rental partner’s policy). For young drivers or additional drivers, the same documents are required for each listed driver.
- 06The rental price depends on the selected vehicle and our partner’s conditions, but usually includes: Use of the vehicle for the agreed rental period and mileage allowance. Basic insurance coverage according to the partner’s policy (details and excess are shown before you confirm). Standard taxes and fees required in Spain. 24/7 roadside assistance where provided by the rental partner. Before you confirm any booking, we always send you a clear breakdown of what is included and not included (such as extra insurance, additional drivers, fuel policy or young driver fees), so you know exactly what you are paying for.
- 07Yes. All of our vehicles include insurance provided by our rental partners. The type and level of coverage may vary depending on the vehicle and rental company, and we will always explain the insurance details before you confirm your booking. The insurance excess is equal to the security deposit. This means that if damage occurs during the rental period, your maximum financial liability is limited to the amount of the security deposit, provided the rental agreement and insurance terms have been followed.
- 08Yes, in most cases you can add one or more additional drivers, as long as they meet the same age and licence requirements as the main driver. Any rules or extra fees for additional drivers depend on the rental partner’s policy and will be clearly shown to you before you confirm the booking
- 09Yes, many of our partners offer delivery and pickup at hotels, villas and Málaga Airport, depending on the vehicle and availability. Share your preferred location and times with us, and we will check the options with our partners and confirm any additional fees or conditions before you finalise the booking
- 10Cancellation Policy Cancellation terms are set by the rental partner, not by ApexDrive, and may vary depending on the vehicle, season and the selected rate.As a general rule, the 30% reservation deposit is non-refundable, as it secures the vehicle exclusively for your requested dates and prevents it from being booked by other customers. This is especially important for last-minute cancellations, where it is usually no longer possible to re-rent the vehicle. Any remaining balance and security deposit are only paid at the time of vehicle handover.
- 11In many cases, it is possible to extend your rental, as long as the vehicle is still available and the rental partner agrees. We recommend contacting us as early as possible with your new dates so we can check availability and updated pricing with the partner before your original return time.
- 12Cross‑border travel may be possible for certain vehicles and destinations, but it must always be approved in advance by the rental partner. Permission depends on the partner’s policy and the countries you plan to visit, and there may be extra insurance requirements or fees. Always tell us your planned route before booking so we can confirm if cross‑border travel is allowed for your rental.
- 13If an accident or breakdown occurs, you must follow the rental partner’s instructions and contact their emergency number immediately (the details are provided in your rental documents). They will arrange roadside assistance, towing or a replacement vehicle according to their policy. In addition, you can always contact ApexDrive and we will help by guiding you to the correct contact, explaining the next steps, and coordinating with the rental partner where needed.
